MC STUDIO - sculptural work. - Production of content that is produced for the Youtube channel of Arte y Oficios. Particular classes of work and techniques for wood, metal, bronze and tools handling. - Production of handmade frames LIGNA - Development and realization of products in leather.

Workshop where materials such as bronze, wood and iron are worked. Techniques in wood: polished, cut and assembled. Bronze technique: manual cutting, polishing, reinforcement, welding in bronze and iron.

 

Large machinery is available: closures - metal and wood -, pliers, polishing machines. Hand tools of all kinds.

Martin Calcagno graduated of National Professor of Sculpture in the ENBA Prilidiano Pueyrredón. During 2001, he completed the complementary course of University Arts Education at IUNA In 2005 he made a research trip to Japan to connect with young Japanese art.

Martin exhibits in individual and collective exhibitions since 2000 and his works are in private collections worldwide. He participated in various sculpture and drawing workshops. He received the First Mention of the Plastic Arts Contest Platt Prize. Restored the work of the Argentine plastic artist Liliana Maresca.

​

In February 2014 he was selected in the JustResidence, Madrid, to create an artistic residence for the Just Mad 2014 Fair. The work was done in cooperation with the PACA residence in Gijón.

Currently working with the union of different materials such as bronze, blown glass, wood and lead. His meticulous work and care, coupled with themes such as nature, romantic, everyday and kitsch, dialogue in a magical and dreamlike way, creating unique works and great visual impact.
