Nahuel Santiago (Mar del Plata / Argentina)

Nahuel Santiago, was the first resident working on Urban Intervention, developing two murals with follow-up from Jorge Pomar and Christian Riffel, urban artists with extensive experience. The first mural was made on the facade of Espacio Camargo (Camargo 265 - C.A.B.A.) and the second, under the name "Everything has a beginning", on the terrace of Club Cultural Matienzo. Santiago works with the main element of the plastic composition: the line, exploring all its variants and possibilities. By superimposing and accumulating both materials - spray paint, acrylic, oil pastel - and strokes, he generates rhythms and speeds. Nahuel's residency was made possible by a grant from R.A.R.O. with the support of Fondo Metropolitano de las Artes.

In the Club Cultural Matienzo took place the closing of the Grant of Urban Intervention and Engraving of  R.A.R.O. recidencies. It had the support of the Metropolitan Fund for the Arts and allowed two Argentine artists, Nahuel Santiago, (Mar del Plata) and Angelina Paz (Córdoba) to develop their artistic projects throughout the month of September.

Nahuel Santiago, resident of Intervención Urbana, developed two murals with the follow-up of Jorge Pomar and Christian Riffel, urban artists of wide trajectory. The first mural is on the facade of Espacio Camargo (Camargo 265 - C.A.B.A.) and the second, under the name "Everything has a beginning", on the terrace of the Matienzo Cultural Club. Santiago works with the main element of the plastic composition: the line, exploring all its variants and possibilities. Through superposition and accumulation, both materials - spray paint, acrylic, oil pastel - and strokes, generates rhythms and speeds. In the mural "Everything has a beginning" Santiago reveals the exact moment of beginning of his intervention.

That moment can be read as an unfinished gesture or it can reinforce the possibility that everything continuous necessarily had its genesis. Likewise, a significant number of volunteers joined the project to be able to carry out these two works of great magnitude. We celebrate the end of the cycle of residency at the Matienzo Cultural Club, where you can visit the mural "Everything has a beginning" by Nahuel Santiago - located on the terrace - We believe deeply in the link as a creative engine, that the exchange of ideas and knowledge makes us great.

That is why we thank all the excellent human group that has participated in this residence.
