1. Explore the R.A.R.O. Buenos Aires network of ateliers in Bogotá and choose where you want to develop your project. Visit: Ateliers.
2. Send a single PDF file to bogota.raro@gmaill.com with the following information:
- Personal information.
- Curriculum Vitae: Education, exhibitions, awards, previous residences, etc.
- Statement of work.
- Project to be carried out, specifying the duration of the residence taking into account that the minimum is 3 weeks. (500 words maximum)
- Selected R.A.R.O. Ateliers and their relationship with the project to be carried out.
- Up to 10 images of work / In case of videos send link with passwords (if required).
- In case you want to be considered for the Grant, please also send us a letter of intent. (Tell us why you are interested in participating in the residency and why we should choose you to win the half grant).
3. Complete the online form.
4. Once the application has been submitted, the selection phase will begin, where both the R.A.R.O. team and the ateliers you have chosen will analyze your project and assess its feasibility.
5. Once your project has been accepted and budgeted, we will be waiting for you in Bogotá
Remember that R.A.R.O. Residencies last a minimum of 3 weeks and take place in at least two Ateliers, with varying availability in terms of timing across all Ateliers.
You will have the guidance and support of the R.A.R.O. team throughout the entire process.
Residencies come with a fee. The cost varies depending on the chosen Ateliers and the duration of the stay.
For 2025, we will be awarding grants for the 2nd edition
The cost of each residency varies depending on the duration and the chosen studios.
We are excited to announce that we will be offering 1 (one) full grant for artists.
We will also offer 1 half grant for artists of RAROS Network (Former residents and artists of local studios) in collaboration with R.A.R.O. Buenos Aires
The program will take place in Bogotá, Colombia, from January 20 to February 26, 2025.
For this edition, we will have the participation of the Experimental Art School, founded in 2010 by artists Lucy Argueta and Lester Rodríguez in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. Since 2019, they have been developing programs in Bogotá.
The closing exhibition will be held at Galería Valenzuela Klenner, one of the iconic art spaces in Bogotá.
