Sergio Paez Calvo (Bogotá / Colombia)
Sergio Paez is a plastic artist graduated from Universidad Nacional of Colombia. He was also selected as one of the winning artists of the grant R.A.R.O. and the Colombian Embassy in Argentina offered. In his work Sergio constantly seeks to rethink his ways of doing, having as meeting points failure, irony, humor and criticism of some fixed and instituted ideas about art. He was perhaps one of the residents who took the most advantage of the itinerant character of R.A.R.O. as he worked in 5 different ateliers during the three months of his stay in Buenos Aires. His first weeks of residency were spent at Palacio México in Hernán Rojo's atelier, together, they experimented with different materials for his sculptural creation, after that, he went on to work in painting with Gustavo Amenedo and then at Palmira Estudios with Julián Pesce, to close this process, during the last weeks of his stay, he visited Casa Omar with the accompaniment of Christian Riffel. At the end of his residency his work was shown at Espacio Cavallero. The exhibiton had the curatorship of Carlos Herrera.
ENCARNADURA
barras / tubos / varillas y distintas secciones perfiladas
