Applications
The R.A.R.O. Buenos Aires program is aimed at a wide diversity of profiles, including artists with or without academic training, self-taught creators, emerging or professional artists of any background, and researchers working in any artistic medium. Likewise, the open call extends to curators, cultural and social managers, human rights defenders, and anyone interested in developing projects linked to art and culture.
Currently, we offer three residency formats: Macro-Residency, Micro-Residency, and Micro-Residecy A Isla. To apply for any of these modalities, it is necessary to complete the application form, which is the only official means of application.
Applications for Macro-Residency and Micro-Residency
Interested parties must complete the form with:
-
Personal and contact information.
-
Selection of the studios from our network in which they wish to work.
-
A single PDF document merging the following information: personal data, curriculum vitae (including formal and informal training), professional background (exhibitions, awards, previous residencies), artist statement, portfolio with high-quality images, and a detailed project proposal, specifying the residency duration and selected studios.
Before submitting, we recommend reading the terms and conditions of the open call and completing the remaining fields of the form.
Those wishing to apply for scholarships granted by R.A.R.O. must attach a letter of intent in PDF format (maximum one page) within the same form.
Applications for Micro-Residency A Isla
The process requires completing the form with:
-
Applicant's personal and contact information.
-
A PDF document including professional background, detailed curriculum vitae, artist statement, and a portfolio with high-quality images of previous work.
Those aspiring to one of the scholarships granted by R.A.R.O. must include a letter of intent (maximum one page) in the registration form.
Once the application is submitted, the selection phase will begin, led by the R.A.R.O. Buenos Aires committee. The committee will determine the candidate's acceptance and communicate the result via email to the address registered during the process.
Any questions or concerns regarding this process can be sent to info@esraro.com or through the contact section.
