Macro - Residencies
Traditional Residency Format of R.A.R.O.
The key element of R.A.R.O.'s Itinerant Residencies is the opportunity to create, collaborate, and move through various artist-run spaces during the residency period.
R.A.R.O.'s multidisciplinary approach allows residents to work in two or more ateliers in a short period of time, delving into one or several disciplines. The project’s network of local artist studios enables participants to choose where to develop their projects and pursue potential collaborations. The selection of studios depends on the techniques each resident wishes to explore and the availability of each atelier.
Residents may work in a minimum of two studios over a period of at least three weeks, allowing them to deepen their practice in one or more techniques. During their stay, they will have the opportunity to present their work, connect with local artists, curators, and collectors, and document their process through audiovisual materials. The final stage of the residency includes either an open studio or a formal exhibition.
